For your convenience, B & J Garbage Company provides weekly garbage, yard debris and recycling pickup for all residential customers in the Clackamas area. To prepare for pickup, please have all your containers along the street by 6:00 a.m. on your regular pickup day.
Please review the cart and bin information below to see what types of items you can place in each color-coded container. If your pickup day falls on a holiday or there is severe weather forecast or occurring, please see Holiday and Bad Weather Information for more details.

When you place your refuse, yard debris and recycling containers along the street for pickup, please be sure to place each container side-by-side at least one foot away from the other containers. Doing it this way will enable our trucks to use their robotic arms to pick up your carts and place the contents in the truck. Failure to position your containers like this may result in damage to the containers or a missed pickup for you. |

(rinse bottles & discard caps)
• Aerosol cans: must be empty, (discard lids)

(rinse, flatten, throw away straws)

contaminated papers
Please place loose items, such as kitty litter, other pet waste, and foam peanuts in a sealed bag to prevent spilling when the garbage cart is emptied. (Foam peanuts can be taken to mailing service for re-use.)

Glass
bottles
and motor oil
• Glass Bottles & Jars: Place rinsed loose,
unbroken glass in bin
(recycle metal lids with metals,
discard plastic lids, no bags)
• Motor Oil: Recycle in an unbreakable,
see-through container no larger than
2 gallons with a screw top lid. |

They do not need to be bagged separately:

• Scrap paper - may bag to avoid litter
• Phone books
• Cardboard
• Milk & juice cartons and boxes
• Metal - include cans, empty aerosol cans, and scrap metal
• Plastic bottles - including milk jugs
Glass bottles and jars must be kept separate.
Motor Oil - Pour into a see-through unbreakable container with a screw top lid. Place next to your bin. (If you have more than 2 gallons of oil to recycle in one week, please call our office so we can ensure we have sufficient space on our truck.)
